The Stentor Public Award for Architecture 2013 was awarded on Friday evening to the creators of Post Zuid, the collective building for companies of the municipality of Apeldoorn to the Aruba. The professional jury awarded the prize to De Villa, a healthcare building of Schuylenburg at Zutphensestraat. The prizes were awarded during the twentieth and so far last Night of the Architecture. Organiser architectural centre Bouwhuis and the Stentor have plans to organise the prize for the City Triangle next year. One of the reasons is the decreasing number of applications as a result of the economic crisis. On Friday night one could mainly notice happy faces. The architects Lars Courage of Courage Architecten from Apeldoorn and Michel Richter of Mies Architectuur from Ede, together responsible for Post Zuid, accepted the public prize beaming with pride. The same applied for the architects of De Zwarte Hond from Rotterdam, who according to the judgment of the professional jury of architects and municipal constructors won the Architecture Prize 2013 from Westpoort Notariaat. The prize winner of the public prize was selected by a jury of 27 readers of the Stentor/Apeldoornse Courant. They were selected by drawing lots from no less than 375 interested parties. 1150 readers and visitors of the website of the newspaper participated in the election.
