In the centre of Sneek the former characteristic premises of TNT was added with a new construction, transformed into a stylish theatre.  The theatre is a real eye-catcher, also because of the stage tower that measures twenty-three metres. In the evening, the stage tower radiates the colour of the genre of the show that is on display in the theatre that night.

The theatre consists of a large hall (600 seats) with orchestra pit, public foyer with void, artists’ rooms, kitchen, and loading and unloading areas.

Installations, Flexibility & Sustainability

The project was elaborated by the architect and Valstar Simonis through the Final Draft (DO). From the DO onwards, the project was outsourced in accordance with the Design & Build principle. Valstar Simonis had a monitoring task through the delivery and the aftercare phase.

In the field of sustainability, the following measures were applied: collection of rainwater, roof garden, air-sided water pumps, LT heating systems, separated air treatment of theatre/office spaces, LED lighting, daylight-dependent regulation, and presence-switching of office lighting.
